Sleep
Oh sleep how you elude me.
You fight me though you need me.
You escape when I try to catch you.
You rise when I cannot have you.
It is then I must resist you.
With such a temper you cannot be.
A flaw in your beauty you do not see.
While your weary ways would sleep destroy.
I can learn your night-time dance.
A battle of wits, a game of chance.
To put sleep in, a lasting trance.
